Men cannot control their sexual drive

A basic (but untrue) premise is that if a man doesn’t find a way to release his sex drive, there will simply be more rapes, which is used to explain why there has to be prostitution. The assumption is that men are driven by uncontrollable needs, rather than by their brains. Men’s sex drive is described as unstoppable, which is an insult to most men, seeing them as irrational beings who commit sexual assault because they are unable to understand or stop themselves. Justifying prostitution as an accepted social phenomenon by which men can satisfy their supposedly uncontrollable sex drive, also justifies the claim that some women have to be “sacrificed” to keep men satisfied.
